Congressman Cresent Hardy proudly represents Nevada’s 4th District in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he serves as a member of the House Committees on Transportation and Infrastructure, Natural Resources, and Small Business.
With nearly four decades of private-sector experience in the construction industry, Cresent has quickly earned the respect of his colleagues and fellow committee members in Congress. As a Freshman, Cresent has been selected to serve as the Vice-Chairman of the Transportation Subcommittee on Highways and Transit, as well as the Chairman of the Small Business Subcommittee on Investigations, Oversight and Regulations. These powerful positions will allow Congressman Hardy to bring some of the commonsense business acumen that allowed him to lead a successful career as a licensed contractor to overseeing the federal bureaucracy.
Throughout his tenure in public service, Congressman Hardy has had the privilege of serving his fellow Nevadans at the local, state and federal levels. Whether as the Mesquite Director of Public Works, a member of the Virgin Valley Water District, a member of the Mesquite City Council, or for two terms in the Nevada State Assembly, Congressman Hardy has remained a constant champion of policies that will grow our economy and help every Nevadan achieve the American dream.
A fifth-generation farmer/rancher from Mesquite - his grandfather was the first baby born in the town - Cresent understands the diverse needs of his constituents in District 4. From Clark County to the rurals, folks can count on Cresent to be their voice in Washington and to address their concerns at home.
Cresent and Peri, his wife of 32 years, live in the scenic Virgin Valley. They have been blessed with four wonderful children.
